About Seript

Write stories through dialogue.

Seript is a writing app for building stories through your characters’ conversations. Write in a chat view and review your work in a script view. Use it in your browser on a phone or computer.

Create characters and scenes, then add dialogue and narration. Start with a short conversation and build your story from there.

Make your writing space your own.

Choose themes to change the look of your writing space. Preview and combine designs for the app and dialogue bubbles to find a style you enjoy. All currently available themes are free.

Start writing without signing in.

You do not need to sign in to create works or save them on your device. In the web version, your works are stored in your browser. You can also back them up to files or use optional cloud sync.

Deleting your browser’s site data can also delete works saved on your device. Back up important works regularly. The user guide explains how to save, back up, and sync your work.

Free to use.

The current public release is free to use and does not display ads. Some advanced editing and export features are restricted. Paid Plus is in preparation.

The interface and guides are available in Japanese, English, Korean, and Simplified and Traditional Chinese. Your writing is not automatically translated.
